Great food, great atmosphere, just needs to do better with customer service. Last visit my wife and I waited a hour and a half to be seated which was fine. As we sat down the waitress we had took our order but didn't really come back to the table to check on us and another table close by us with the same waitress never got their food. The food was delicious and never had a bad experience but one thing I will say waitress please do better

I was here about a year ago for training nearby and man! Thus place had me in a good coma! great food and atmospher.

One thing about uptown's you can guarantee is some good seasoned well food and a good strong drink. They have special nights as well as for entertainment. That brings me to what I now don't like you now only have a certain amount of time from when you sit to when you must be done. I love this place though the staff can have weird vibes at times but the food doesn't miss. I would def suggest this restaurant I hope managers can get staff to patron ratio better so no one feels rushed.

My daughter's dance team went one time before a competition and raved about Uptown, so the next time we had a competition in NC we decided to go again. They don't take reservations so I got there a little early just in case it got packed. I arrived around 11:10am on a Saturday morning. We were a party of 25 and were seated rather quickly. Another large party came in after us. By the time we left there was a wait to be seated. The decor was nice. There are pool tables in the front and tables in the back. The waitresses were really helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. I appreciate their patience with such a large party. I got the fish and grits. The fish had a good flavor, but way too many bones. The grits also had a good flavor but I like my grits creamy. These were a little "tight". I don't think I would order that again. My daughter and sister got the chicken and waffles. I tried both and they were amazing I would definitely get those next time.

Food always on point salmon bites flavorful and just the right size. Music always nice and alcoholic beverages good. Staff always nice and welcoming.

The food here was very good. My party of 4 had catfish & grits (2), and sausage and eggs, with waffles. All of the food was well prepared, hot and had good flavor. Service was perfect. All the orders were correct, and the food was delivered promptly. There were no complaints from anyone in my party. They didn't have decaf, but that's ok. I needed to drink more water anyway. When you enter the restaurant for the 1st time you wonder where you're headed as you pass the bar and pool table. But once seated there's plenty of roomy, clean space. You can tell that this place doubles as a great place to watch the game too.

Mac n cheese and collard greens are official and that's good enough for me. I know it's weird but I never order chicken and waffles. The lady that ordered them killed them. Ate everything on her plate so I venture to say it was good. I had the catfish that was decent. I ate my sides first so I wish I had ate the fish when it first came to the table. Nonetheless, I could tell it still had flavor.

THE FOOD IS AMAZING and I love our waiter. Her service is amazing, she's so relatable, and she loves children. I highly recommend asking for (Ms. Sarah)!!

I'll start with the food which was really really good. The waffle was nice a fluffy, not to doughy, just right. And you could actually see prices of sweet potato in the waffle, very pleased. Chicken was good, crispy and seasoned well. I came 3x and there was always a wait even though there were a lot of people inside/ outside. They definitely need some work in the management area. Also, I got in line through Yelp to arrive and find out they are not connected to their Yelp....
